A broken family reunion as a band. Since young, Cat has admired her father, King, but he left home and disappeared when she was 10. Years later, they meet again in a crematorium, when Cat is with Riley, her nine-year-old son, and King is with Lok-Yin, his second wife’s teenage daughter. With an interim decision, the four of them have to live together. A new family with four voices, each with their own old lives, secrets, and fears. As the once-broken family members begin to set aside their differences and support each other, they face even greater hardships caused by Cat's genetic disease.

BIOGRAPHY

Director | Mo Lai Yan Chi

Mo LAI Yan Chi, Sscreenwriter and Director, awardee of Ten Outstanding Young Person (HK) and the winner of Young Artist (Film) of HK Arts Development Awards. She is selected as Academy Talent at The Golden Horse Film Academy and Berlinale Talent at The Berlin International Film Festival. Mo is the artistic director of Mo Production Company Limited and a senior lecturer at various universities in Hong Kong. She’s now appointed project director at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Mo is also a stage director, playwright and actor. Her solo “Women in Red” was staged at the HK Queen Elizabeth Stadium and was selected as the opening performance at the International Community Arts Festival in the Netherlands. Her solo “The White Shadow” has been selected in San Francisco International Arts Festival. Her theatrical work has won Mo many critical accolades, as well as leading to be appointed by West Kowloon District Authority and Hong Kong Arts Development Council to conduct research on performance in public spaces in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and London.
